Kami wants me to edit her paper. I guess she was told it's written on a 3rd grade level. I read the teacher's corrections and comments, and man! she's picky. I think she was a bit harsh. Kami writes no better than any other average high school student out there. Though her knowledge grammatical parts is surprisingly *searches for word* underdeveloped. She doesn't know what a preposition is. But, back to the teacher. I dunno if it's a class mixed with college students and those from high school, or a college class for high school students. If it's the previous then I can see why she expects the writing to be "college" level. But if it's the latter you darn well can't expect a group of high school kids to be able to write college level right away. They're not gonna be able to write like that with a snap of the fingers. I just think she's too picky and advanced. And what the teacher wants is similar to journalism, so it's easy for me.
I have been "walking" on eggshells around Aubree for the last two days. I don't know what bee has gotten in her bonnet lately, but she has snapped, told me off, bossed and talked at me as if I were a lesser person, instead of talking to me. I've had to bite my tongue and drive away in order to keep the peace. I was told she gave me more respect "than I deserved."
The world became smaller for me again today. We were seperated into groups in Philosophy to discuss articles assigned in reference to Liberal Feminism. Ours [my group's] was on Pro Choice. We shared the thesis with the class and our thoughts, after which the class made comments. Lo and behold, two of my friends I'd hung out with while in Poky are in this class! As they each made their comments, their faces flashed (this is a televised class from Poky) on the screen. I was like Oh my gosh! It is *Kelsy! It's Heather G! I couldn't help but chuckle silently as it was no surprise they are in the class. They're both strong feminists. LOL
*I changed her name so she's anonymous.
