And then they grow up.
This past weekend we've had, at one point or another, all three of my nephews over. Saturday we took Cannon to the zoo and adjacent park. Some of the animals there, like the Ring-Tailed Lemur, the zebras and some type of monkey, had had babies towards the end of April. May I be sappy and say: They were so ccuuutttee!! And it was a perfect day weather-wise, in addition to most of the family--plus Clayton, Kami's current boyfriend, being able to join in the fun. It was a wonderful day.
After the pleasures of the zoo we crossed the street to the park and had a picnic lunch. Then once our stomachs were full, Kami, Mike, Jen, Clayton and Aubree went on the Octopus ride--the girls went several times, while the guys rode once--and Mike took Cannon on the carousel(sp?) once. After Mike took his bottle away Cannon started interest in the ride and everything round him and his daddy. He definitely enjoyed the ride, I think, for he would grin at us and his mama everytime they passed us.
Then later that night Jessy, Nathaniel and my other cute nephews came in. Brogan, who's 2½ and Iain, who's almost three months. So we've enjoyed all three nephews at some point or other this weekend. What with Cannon and his discovery of the zoo and carnival rides and Brogan and his hugs and kisses. And Iain and his baby sounds and expressions.
Like I said before-- Why is almost everything small so cute? And then, they grow up.
