Aubree has wanted to see Lord of the Rings ever since it first came out. It is now at zee $3 theater, but her friends wouldn't go with her because they've seen it previously with family or other friends. And most of her peers around the Middle School have seen it, so "everybody's" been talking about it, leaving her the odd man out. Thus in a moment of compassion I suggested we go together--Jen, Mike, Aubree and I. We had no idea how long the flick will be at the Paramount so we figured the sooner the better. The only showing is at 3:30 so you can see why I didn't complete my homework. Anyways... As that one credit card commercial says about value-> time spent with lil sister: Priceless. (I'd just forgotten how ugly the goblins (orcs?) were.)
We came home to find Easter baskets out on the table. I don't know why I was surprised since in the back of my mind I know Mom will fill them with stuff from the "Easter Bunny." But at the same time, part of me figures we're getting too old (as Dad keeps saying year after year) to indulge in a visit from the Easter Rabbit. I guess hearing it year after year has finally embedded the idea in my head, though I keep on looking forward to a lil goodies each year at Easter. I don't deny it; I'm just a big kid at heart. *shrugs*
We haven't done eggs. I don't know if we's just skipping that activity this year, since Mom and Dad are out playing. It's just been laid back this holiday. Perhaps we are growing out of the Easter Bunny routine, despite Mom's continuing the tradition. Although, she has declared we're having an Easter egg hunt. Aubree whooped at this. She's perhaps the only one for whom the traditions should still happen. Again, maybe it's a Priceless thing.
