I talked with Milo tonight! Yay! I've missed his quiet encouragement...and his playfulness. He's a good man. He was so intense tonight; I was surprised and loved it. I hope we talk again soon. Work has been hard on him, and I wish he could find a job that he enjoyed. I may not talk about him much, but he's a dear friend and I think of him often. Oh, it was so good to talk with him!

I must apologize for yesterday. I was a bit extreme and dramatic. Today was better, but I still have ta work my butt off in math if I want ta graduate in the spring. If I'm diligent and keep at it, I could pull off a C. I hope. *crosses fingers and prays*

We got our tests back in Spanish today. I did ok. 41/50. Not bad, but I'm wondering...is that a B or a low A? All it was simple translation mistakes and stupid spelling errors. But it was a test I felt zee best about.

The Night World

I'm on zee fifth book of L.J. Smith's "Night World" series, The Chosen. I'm glad I'm reading it (the series) again. I'm catching things now that I didn't the first time. Like who Hunter Redfern really is and why he tried to gather seven of the most powerful made vampires in zee world for a bloodfeast. All ready she's introducing a bigger overall plot to the series. It's like a light went on, and I'm like, "Oh! So that's why..." It's pretty cool.

The Night World is a secret society of witches, were creatures and vampires--made and born (the lamia, lay-mee-ah)--who walk among humans. It's about stories where Night World laws are broken when humans find out and fall in love with Night People. The overal theme though is stopping a power hungry, ages-old vampire who wants to revert the world order to when vampires ruled the world. It may sound corny, but it's cool...and addicting. Her 10th book was supposed to be out ages ago, but it's not and won't be until Aug. 2002. So thousands of likewise fans will have to wait for the mounting climax to the entire exciting story. Oh well. I guess good things are worth the long wait, eh?
