Astrology and Other News

Good evening, I'm Shiloh Bodine Butterbutt, here to give you the nightly news. Astrology, fate written in the stars. Do they really guide our lives? I dunno. But the ancients sure did. I've compiled different zodiacs and, because I know you love me as a role model, I've used my birthday as an example.
My horoscope for today
Keep up your psychic shield, dear Cancer, because you will need it. People's comments may seem harsh, even though they may mean well. It is important to not take any of their remarks personal. Your best defense against the critical tone of the day is to use other people's criticisms as constructively as you can to build a stronger framework to work from. Process this energy in a positive frame of mind. It will help you to get things done.

You are the kind of person that people like to be around--affectionate, obliging, always pleasant. You have a tendency, though, to get too sentimental and seem superficial. Being cautious and conservative, you are successful in business but would also make a good lawyer, diplomat, or actor. Some Rabbits: Confucius, Albert Einstein, Coretta Scott King, Rudolph Nureyev, Queen Victoria, Orson Welles, Jane Yolen.

Aren't I just loveable?? *flirtatious wink*
In other news Iceburg is still freezing at night, though Spring is fighting to make an entrance in our lil corner of the world. Yes folks, thawing has begun, creating slushy puddles here and there. (Evidenced by muddy prints tracked in by Dad.) As always, the end result--before Spring dries everything out--will be a small lake on our front sidewalk. We really should petition for a more moderate climate, folks. In fact, you can sign up and let our gov'ner know how you feel at *[email protected].

In state news, elementary and secondary school teachers are convening at the capitol in Boise on strike this coming Tuesday. The protest stems from cutbacks in budgeting and pay to potential layoffs around Idaho. The protest will last all day. Which means my siblings have no school while I, a hard working college attendee, must make my solitary trek to sit in a room with no windows and take notes till my hand cramps up! *tone gets higher every two words, until only dogs can hear then run away* Life is cruel! Maybe students should go on strike too for...better cafeteria food! Then it could be a statewide party!

Welp, that's all she wrote folks! Goodnight and thank you for reading. Tune in next time for the continuing saga of my life.
