Howdy. Well, miracles of miracles, Brent showed up from Valley Medical. And with the chair no less. Thank you, Dad's voice, which when he means business can sound commanding. However, there are some drawbacks. =os It is longer from front to back so I now have to readjust to turning in wide circles. The feet rests bring my legs out further rather than straight down which is a position easiest for me to push myself up. And the joystick isn't swing away like it needs to be. So...*clears throat* Brent's gotta order the joystick in and get regular feet rests that drop straight down. Then there's the back. They're gonna do a switcharoo, taking the back rest from the teal chair and putting it on the new chair. So, as I've stated several times today since 1 p.m., it's gonna be a pretty sweet chair once the alterations are made. *laughs*
I finally have it so I shouldn't complain. Yet, can I at least just say this? It would be nice if I could be done with this wheelchair business. Yes, it's great to finally have my new one, but what fun is it to have to switch back and forth between chairs? Because as it is now, I cannot use the chair at school due to the lack of a swing away joystick, and with the extendable leg rests I have to swing wider in sometimes tight spots. It going to be slightly annoying. But Brent should be able to fix that. I hope...
If not, somebody in the Medicaid unit is going to learn how upset I can get.
