Sunday Brunch On Monday: Precious Gems
12-06-2004 E 12:07 p.m.
I wanted to do the Sunday Brunch yesterday--in fact, I wanted to do a few other things besides, but my aching thigh required I seek out warmer rooms than mine. Hence, only one update and very lil accomplished. *grimace*

"Riches cover a multitude of woes." ~Menander

1) Which stone is your birthstone? Do you like it?

It's the Ruby--for July. At first I didn't like it because all the rubies I'd seen before that were blood red. They were disturbing reminders of all the times I've had blood drawn before every surgery I've had. But then in high school when I ordered my class ring from Wal-Mart the ruby was a beautiful rosy, pinkish red. I fell for the ruby then.

2) Do you prefer silver or gold?

Gold. I like the warm tones of it against my skin.

3) Name the jewelry that you wear whenever you leave the house.

4) What is your most precious and valuable item of jewelry?

I guess it would be my "Rapunzel" ring.

5) Do you carry insurance on any of your jewelry and if not, why not?

Um, no. None of my jewelry come from the truly elite stores like Tiffany's or Cartier's. So no one would really be interested in stealing my jewelry to sell on the Black Market. LOL.
