Perhaps I'd wake up if I had part of my Grilled Caribbean Chicken salad that we brought home from Chili's. I mean I was plenty awake then, but how could I not be when my poor taste buds were being burned off? Even now my tongue is a bit tender and I'm surprised my lips aren't blistered!
Why bring the rest home then? Well it was portions of zee meat that either had too much pepper or marinade on them that made the blasted meal so hot!! The rest is fine and delicious. I just hope my poor tongue and lips forgive me.
How did my meeting go? How nice of you to ask! Whelp, only Courtney showed up. Surprise, surprise. Darci has only been to two or three of our meetings that I know of, but between Courtney--the one, it's becoming apparent, who cares about this project about as much as I do--and me it's coming together. She wants a word search as well as the movie intro and Powerpoint. So I told her if she does the Powerpoint, I can do the word puzzle as I have a program where you can generate your own. We're meeting tomorrow to give her our info. Hallelujah, it's about over. The surprising thing came at the end. She doesn't trust Darci to come through with extra stuff and even labeled her "flaky." How funny. Her opinion runs along similar lines as mine. Though I got more of the impression she doesn't care. Or doesn't regard this as an important assignment. Though why she wouldn't is beyond me. Then again, perhaps she has the same attitude as I did last Spring: I--just--didn't--care.
1) What was the first band you saw in concert?
I would have to say the Osmond Boys--sons of the Osmond Bros. in an outdoor arena(?) in Idaho Falls. I don't remember how old I was.
2) Who is your favorite artist/band now?
Right now, I seem to be in a Phil Collins phase, though every artist or band mentioned in my profile deserves equal attention.
3) What's your favorite song?
I have too many to name just one, but as that is what the question calls for...well, I'll say Truly, Madly, Deeply by Savage Garden.
4) If you could play any instrument, what would it be?
The steel drums of the Caribbean. I like the light musical sounds they make.
5) If you could meet any musical icon (past or present), who would it be and why?
Now, this question is thought provoking. I have no idea. Perhaps Phil Collins himself, though I don't wanna be disappointed if he turns out to be a jerk. Elvis on the other hand...would be a treat. I just melt at his voice, and despite him being a skirt chaser he had a heart of gold.

Truly, Madly, Deeply
I'll be your dream
I'll be your wish; I'll be your fantasy
I'll be your hope, I'll be your love
Be everything that you need.
I'll love you more with every breath
Truly, madly, deeply do
I will be strong, I will be faithful
'Cause I'm counting on
A new beginning
A reason for living
A deeper meaning
I want to stand with you on a mountain
I want to bathe with you in the sea
I want to lay like this forever
Until the sky falls down on me
And when the stars are shining brightly in the velvet sky,
I'll make a wish to send it to heaven
Then make you want to cry
The tears of joy for all the pleasure in the certainty
That we're surrounded by the comfort and protection of
The highest powers
In lonely hours
The tears devour you
I want to stand with you on a mountain
I want to bathe with you in the sea
I want to lay like this forever
Until the sky falls down on me
Oh can't you see it baby?
You don't have to close your eyes
'Cause it's standing right here before you
All that you need will surely come
I'll be your dream; I'll be your wish,
I'll be your fantasy
I'll be your hope, I'll be your love
Be everything that you need
I'll love you more with every breath
Truly, madly, deeply do
I want to stand with you on a mountain
I want to bathe with you in the sea
I want to lay like this forever
Until the sky falls down on me
