I love this CD I borrowed from Jonny, Inside Out. They're an a cappella group. I wish I could describe the experience of listening. Only those who are familiar with the LDS a cappella band from BYU, Voice Male, can know. They sing a gamut of songs--spoofs of well known favorites, spiritual songs, ballads and love songs. Right now I'm listening to a ballad of a man who finds a love letter from his grandad to his grandmother in a tree. It's a sweet song of childhood sweethearts, bringing to mind simpler days in the early 20th century. I think though, my fave is a new rendition of The Lion Sleeps Tonight. *laughs* In the middle of the song they do an impression of the Crocodile Hunter. My other favorite is a spin-off of Happy Together. In this version he's stalking his ex-girlfriend. He's hiding in her tree with a telephoto lens, holding her cat hostage. The song ends with the cops telling him to come down with the cat in zee air. *grins* Oh! And then there's the Jackie Chan song. It's hilarious. The whole CD is good. Did I mention I'm in love with the lead singer's voice? *winks*
*inhales a rejuvenating breath* Aahh. One more week and I'm free... Free! I can do anything I like for two months. Yay!
