A Germ Party and Toddlers
02-03-2003 E 7:17 p.m.
I hate how colds seem to sneak attack you sometimes. If they come on gradually you can start warding them off at the first symptom. But if they blindside ya you're left with feeling like you've aged 20 years in a matter of hours. Then you gotta start the war while you feel awful because a virus or bacterial based cold is having a party in your bloodstream.

I seem to have gotten a sinus cold in the middle of the night, with a sore throat and a lil drainage of the sinuses. Now the aches are setting in. And of course, the germies knew this week would be the best time to strike. Why, you ask? Because this week I'm being hit with three papers. The first was due today; the second is on Friday, and my third is for next Monday.

Since my energy is waning, I'll fall back on a cute thing I read in the Tidbits newsletter.

Eight Laws of a Toddler
1) If I like it, it's mine.
2) If it's in my hand, it's mine.
3) If I can take it from you, it's mine.
4) If I had it a little while ago, it's mine.
5) If it's mine, it must never appear to be yours in any way.
6) If I'm doing or building something, all the pieces are mine.
7) If it looks just like mine, it's mine.
8) If I think it's mine, it's mine.

Hmmm, anybody catching a theme here? *winks*
