"What goes around, comes around."Unfortunately that is the way flus, bugs and viruses travel. It's not enough to make one lil girl so sick she's not kept anything down in a 24-hour period, nnnooo, no these pesky, malicious one-celled organisms
love holding parties and camping out in other people's immune systems. They love wreaking havoc with the red blood cells and daring the white to track them down to kill them off. They party long and hard like there's no tomorrow, seeing just how far and extensive their misery can go, giving new meaning to the shallow saying,
"Eat, drink and be merry, for tomorrow we shall die." The flus, viruses and bugs know their time is short before the white blood cells come charging to the rescue like paramedics in white uniforms. Then, thanks to a contaminated touch, an airborn lift or a period of contagiousness it's onto a new person, a new campout, a slight mutation and more delighful misery. And on and on.
"Misery loves company," as they say...
I do not feel good. Heather doesn't feel good. Star-heart does not feel good. My lil five-year-old cousin did not feel good. In fact, she'd been throwing up a good 24 hours Tuesday before Mom and I arrived to see Nan, my aunt and her three lil girls. Poor Katie, she was so deathly ill. Colleen finally took her to the ER to get a shot for her nauseousness.
Now, it seems some type of flu or bug is going 'round.
"What goes around, comes around."
