Cocoa Krispies Thanksgiving Turkeys


Ingredients:
3 tbsp of butter or margarine
1 package of (or about 40) marshmallows
OR
4 cups mini marshmallows
6 cups Cocoa Krispies, candy corn, Red Hot candies, pretzels (both sticks and knots), peanut butter

Directions:
1) In a large microwave-safe bowl, heat margarine and marshmallows at HIGH for three minutes, stirring after two minutes. Stir until smooth.
2) Add Cocoa Krispies cereal. Stir until well coated. Using spatula coated with cooking spray, press mixture into
15 1/2x10 1/2x1-inch pan coated with cooking spray or wax paper. When slightly cooled, shape cereal mixture into body and head shape using buttered hands. Place on waxed paper or a surfact coated with cooking spray. Allow to cool.
3) Spread peanut butter over turkey body and sprinkle with Cocoa Krispies cereal. Decorate with Red Hot candies and miniature marshmallows for eyes and candy corn for beak. Break off sides of twisted pretzels and insert into body for tail feathers. Insert pretzel sticks for legs.

Yields: Four to six turkeys

Note:
1 jar (7 oz.) marshmallow creme can be substituted for marshmallows.

Diet, reduced calorie or tub margarine is not recommended.

Store no more than two days in airtight container.
