Thirteen Sayings I Use or Find Amusing 1) "The Fit hit the shan!" 2) "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." 3) "Scat cat, your tail's in the gravy!" (This is a Southern sayin' for when somebody sneezes.) 4) "He's/She's/They're full of nothing but hot air." 5) "There's no use crying over spilt milk." 6) "Cry me a river and build a bridge...and get over it." 7) "It's water under the bridge." 8) "After all, tomorrow's another day." (Yes, I know this is from a very well-known movie, but hey, I'm Southern, so I use it. *cheeky grin*) 9) "Here's a quarter, call someone who cares." 10) "The world's his/her/our/their oyster." (Did I get this one wrong? Because if the world is an oyster, does that mean I'm a pearl? *cheeky grin again, batts eyelashes*) 11) "We/He/She/Their have the world at our/his/her/their fingertips." (This was my high school class' chosen motto.) 12) "Open mouth--insert foot." (A classic if I do say so myself. And I do!) 13) "Here's your sign."
