Feeling-- okay
Reading-- The Princess Diaries, Volume III: Princess In Love by Meg Cabot
Listening to-- nothing

Mmmk, I gave up on my other entry for the nonce--but it will be posted soon as my study of the anatomy of childhood continues. For right now, though, I'm following in the cyber footsteps of two other bloggers and have created my own Johari and Nohari windows. They're self-awareness tools designed to help us learn how our perceptions of ourselves match or differ from the perceptions of us of those around us. *wonders if that makes sense*

As you can see both windows are divided into four areas with two sub-categories.

I once studied this in school...either in some health class or in Psychology at Ricks. At the time I thought it was interesting, that there are four parts to our personality: the Arena that is known to ourselves and to others; the Blind Spot that isn't known to us, but may be known to others; the Façade which is only known to us; and the Unknown which nobody, not even ourselves, knows.

It was and still is this Unknown that fascinates me the most. How do we, well, how do the doctors or scientists know there is an unknown to our personalities? And how do we tap into this unknown? What will bring out the traits hidden from even us? Will we ever know all there is about ourselves...us who are supposed to know ourselves the best?

You can add your input to my Johari window (the window listing my strengths) here, or you can just view it here.
